Grand opening of the Barn
Plans are progressing well for the grand opening tea party on the Sunday 27th June 3.00 – 5.30pm. We are keeping our fingers crossed that restrictions on numbers meeting outside will be lifted by then. For now please make sure it’s a date in your diary, and we will confirm all arrangements in our next newsletter.
Painters (decorators) wanted
We are looking for volunteers for the final push on the Barn - painting the walls and the floor, starting with the walls on Tuesday 25th May. If you can offer any help on Tuesday 25th, Wednesday, 26th or Thursday 27thMay, or the following week on Tuesday 1st June, Wednesday 2nd, or Thursday 3rd. Thank you, your help would be much appreciated, even if you just have a couple of hours to spare.
Site Inspections
We have had word from Haringey that the Council will be starting these again shortly, so please make sure your plot is ‘inspection-fit’. We direct new tenants to the useful notes for new allotment tenants, outlining tenants’ responsibilities in maintaining plots in good order. And a useful reminder for ‘old’ tenants too!
Blackthorn saplings
There are still a few available for tenants to plant on their plots against the site perimeter. Help yourself from the pot in front of the Barn.
Plant Sales
Many thanks to all those who have contributed to and attended the mini plant sales. They have proved a great success. One more is planned for this Sunday 23rd May, details previously circulated. We are hoping to also have a plant stall at the Barn opening on the 27th June, details to follow.
