Barn events
This Sunday 21st March:
12.00 – 1.00: Robert Henebury will lead a discussion on health and safety at the allotment. What you should keep in a first aid kit on your plot, and other helpful advice.
1.00 – 2.00: Lunch – come along for homemade soup and bread, cake, teas and coffees. In the sunshine!
Café at the Barn: Wednesday 13th April 10.30 – 12.00
The willow workshops earlier in the month were a great success, with some beautiful woven plant supports made. Do let us know if you have ideas for workshops you would like to see held at the Barn in the future, and particularly if you would be willing to help organise them.
Maintenance working party
Many thanks to all those who helped at the March working party. The next one will be held on Sunday April 10th 10.30 – 12.30. Meet at the trading shed. We need help with preparing the Montenotte track to improve drainage and the uneven surface there, and with stocking the log store.
Save the Date: SHA annual plant sale
Will be held on Sunday 8th May. More details to follow.
Reminders
- From 1st April – 30th September no bonfires are allowed on site.
- Please do not put any woodchip on the Montenotte track, as this can make the drainage problems worse. There is maintenance work planned to improve the track.
- Annie and Liz request that people re-use plastic bags and containers from the trading shed for any purchases from there. Please recycle what you can.
- Haringey site inspections are due to recommence in April. Make sure your plot is clearly numbered and inspection-ready
Happy spring gardening!
