Trading Shed
Many thanks to all who took part in the trading shed survey.  You provided us with lots of helpful information – both about what you value about the trading shed, and suggestions for improvement.  It was interesting to read how many of you value it not only as a convenient place to buy goods, but also as a social and educational space to chat to other plot holders and glean horticultural tips.  One person summed it up as "the connection with other plot holders that it facilitates, the advice from the shed facilitators, the good value items, the sense of community it brings". A priority for a new trading shed is more light.  Liz has already taken on board some of the requests for additional stock items (whoever mentioned wanting medium size gloves, these are now in stock!  And a wide range of sweet pea seeds).  The next step is to develop plans for rebuilding the shed, and to make a funding application to the National Lottery Community Fund.

Annual Plant Sale 2023
This will be held in front of the trading shed and in and around the Barn on May 14th from 12-3pm. It’s an important money raiser as well as a joyous occasion for all who join in. You can join in by offering to:

  • run a stall ( veg and herbs, ornamentals, annuals, bric-a-brac/tools
  • bake a cake and bring it to Barn between 11 and 11.45
  • help set up stalls
  • provide plants, labelled and priced and brought to the stalls at 11 am
