Thanks from Harington
At the end of this newsletter is a letter we received from Harington, expressing their thanks to everyone at SHA for continuing to support the Scheme so generously with our donation from the Plant Sale.  The letter includes details of how the money we donate will help with specific projects to support their students.

Hornsey Foodbank Allotment Collections
We are going to help with this again this year, donating spare produce. A crate will be put outside the Barn and be collected after midday on a Tuesday. The first collection will be on Tuesday 9th July. The deadline for leaving fresh produce each week will be MIDDAY on a TUESDAY. Please don’t leave perishable veg and fruit too far in advance. The closer to Tuesday midday the better.  Thank you for supporting our local foodbank.

Reminders
It’s that time of year when paths quickly become overgrown – please make sure that you cut back any brambles and anything overhanging the main paths.

And a reminder that THE USE OF WEEDKILLERS CONTAINING GLYPHOSATE IS BANNED ON THE SITE.  Use of it on one plot affects neighbouring plots and should NOT be used anywhere.  This is in line with other local allotment sites and Councils.  You can read more about the detrimental effects of glyphosate on health and the environment here:
