Please bring friends and family to this warm event. There will be stalls selling all sorts of things (preserves, books, glassware and crockery, cakes, Shepherds Hill Apple Cider Vinegar, seeds, pictures, and lots more).  And a raffle.

We would love it if you could :

  • bake a cake for serving in the Barn Cafe or for selling on cake stall (bring them along on the day)
  • donate some good gifts for the raffle. Please bring donations either to the Trading Shed 10th November 11-12 or to The Barn Cafe morning  Nov 13th 10.30-12.
  • donate some saved seeds ( please label them clearly and bring to either of the above events, or to the Winter Warmer on the day)
  • Tell lots of people about it.

Potato Onion and Shallot Orders
Thanks to those who have already put their orders in. All varieties are still available so those who want to put in an order still can. Remember you order direct from Annie and NOT via the site email. Also there was a slight pricing error when the list went out in the site email of 25th September. The price for both varieties of onions should be £1.50 per 200g  rather than £1.00 as stated. Apologies. No-one pays anything until you pick up your orders at Potato Day on Sunday 9th February.

Trading Shed Winter Opening Times
The Trading shed will open fortnightly from November until February. It will be open 10th and 24th November and 8th December. It will close for Xmas but then re-open 5th, 19th January. From 2nd February it will open weekly.
NB We are hoping to replace the existing trading shed soon and this will of course affect opening times once the works start but we will keep you updated.

Bonfire Ban
The start date of the bonfire ban has been extended to December 1st.  Haringey Council are supporting us in implementing this ban, and from 2026 failure to comply could result in an NCN being issued.  We are developing plans and guidance on use of the communal composting area and will provide further information in future newsletters, also on any planned controlled communal bonfires in designated areas on the site.

Finally…
Haringey Foodbank have sent thanks for all the produce we have donated this year and look forward to our continued support next year.
